The Yukon was a lot different when Hank Karr moved here in the 1960s, and over his many years in the territory he left his mark.
He was a musician, and he came North looking for a home, musical and otherwise.
Karr found a vibrant community in Whitehorse, and over the years played thousands of shows in all kinds of bands. He also supported a lot of emerging musicians and helped them build their own careers.
I spoke with Hank’s son about his legacy.
